Prerequisites
- Ensure you have access to Hudu as an Admin or Super Admin Role.
- Hudu Version needs to be 2.1.5.7 or higher
Enable Hudu Integration
Enabling the Hudu Integration can be done in 2 ways. Via the Hudu created Integration (no IP Restrictions) or via a Manual API Key (allows for IP restrictions).
Manual API Key
- As an Hudu Administrator, log in to Hudu and navigate to Admin > API
- On the Create API Key Screen type in a name such as Quickpass-Integration, select the Passwords Access and Can Perform Desctructive Actions? boxes.
NOTE: If you would like to use the IP Restrictions (Hudu refers to them as OPTIONAL: ALLOWED IP ADDRESSES), please refer to this KB for the IP(s) that you will have to add, in order for your Hudu environment to allow Quickpass to communicate with the Hudu API.
https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402712146711-Firewall-Port-Exceptions-IP-Whitelisting-for-Agent-and-API-Communication
- Copy the newly generated API Key (note characters on the Key Creation screen will be obscured after a 5 minute period so ensure you copy them before that time out period expires)
- Proceed to the Quickpass Integration process.
Hudu created Integration
- On the Admin Page click the Integrations Link
- Navigate to the "Productivity" section and click the "Quickpass" logo.
NOTE: At this time the API Key Generated will NOT have any IP Restrictions. If this is important to you, please use the Manual method at this time. Hudu has agreed to add our IP Addresses to their quick Integration in the future and this article will be updated when that takes place.
- An API Key will be automatically generated and will show at the top of the API Keys Page. Copy this value, and proceed with the remainder of the setup process.
Quickpass Integration
- Log in to the Quickpass admin website at https://admin.getquickpass.com for North America/Oceania or https://eu-admin.getquickpass.com/ for Europe using your Quickpass Administrator account.
- Click Integrations in the left-hand menu.
- In the Integrations page, click the Hudu logo.
- You will be prompted to enter the API key you created earlier in Hudu. Paste in the API key and enter the Domain Name for the URL that you use when logging into the Hudu Portal.
NOTE: Ensure you are using the full Address for your Hudu access (ex. hudu.companyname.com) without the HTTPS://
- Click Connect to complete the Process.
- If properly connected to Hudu the Logo Box will show with a checkmark in the top left corner
After the API for Hudu is connected to Quickpass, you can begin to either import Hudu Companies to create new Quickpass customers or match existing Quickpass customers with Hudu Companies.
