Background
We’re excited to introduce a major improvement that streamlines how local accounts can be brought into CyberQP. For organizations that rely on local accounts for their end users, onboarding is now significantly faster and more efficient.
With this enhancement, you can now bulk-import all local accounts that are not currently imported to the Administrator or Service Accounts section, from every agent within a CyberQP customer in a single action. Simply select all relevant agents at once, and CyberQP automatically detects and imports every associated local account. This accelerates setup, and removes friction from the onboarding process.
This improvement ensures a smoother, more scalable path to bringing local accounts under centralized management, letting teams begin with minimal effort.
Description
This article will walk you through through the steps needed to bulk import local accounts from one or more machine(s).
Pre-requisites
Install the Quickpass agent on one of the following systems
- Active Directory joined Member Server
- Active Directory joined Workstation
- Standalone Windows Server
- Standalone Workstation
Refer to this KB article for agent installation procedure https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035206994-How-to-install-the-Agent-Manual-and-Silent
Setup
1. Login to the CyberQP admin dashboard and select the desired Customer
2. Navigate to your desired account type menu:
- End User Accounts
- Administrator Accounts
- Service Accounts
3. In the top right corner, click '+Add Accounts' then click Manual
4. Click 'Sync from a Single Source', then click Continue
5. Select 'Local Accounts', then click Continue
6. Select the left-most checkbox for the machines you wish to import all local accounts from
- TIP: Click on the machine name for a quick view of which local accounts would be imported from a specific machine
7. Once the desired machines are selected, click 'Import All Local Accounts'
Troubleshooting
1. If no accounts show when clicking on a machine name, this indicates that all local accounts on that machine are already imported to CyberQP
2. If some machines are not interactable, this indicates the CyberQP agent on the machine is OFFLINE - the QuickpassServerAgent service is not running or the machine is powered off.
