Context
Due to the way the API and the logic in the background works, if you are switching from one host to another you will have to disconnect the API in the QP Dashboard and reconnect to enter the new URL, simply updating the API public and private key will not work.
Below are the suggested steps to help make the rematching on your end easier.
Overview
Please ensure the steps listed below are done BEFORE the migration is done. We have had a few partners recently that did a migration BEFORE disconnecting the current integration and the deletion of pre-existing webhooks was not handled too gracefully, which caused some challenges when trying to reconnect the integration with the new URL.
So in short:
- Follow the steps below
- Disconnect the integration on the CyberQP Dashboard
- Complete migration
- Setup integration on the CyberQP Dashboard
Prerequisites
Export these reports:
- Go to the Reports section on the CyberQP admin dashboard
- Download the Customers Report -> Export Customers List, Status and Agent ID's – CyberQP (getquickpass.com)
- Download the Self Serve Report -> Export Self-Serve Status for all Customers – CyberQP (getquickpass.com)
If you go to the reports section and download these reports prior to the disconnection and connection to the new API, you can ensure you have a list of which accounts/customers were already matched to ConnectWise.
Thankfully re-integrating the contact automatch feature for each customer will be much faster this time.
Steps
- Ensure that your new ConnectWise Tenant is fully setup with the same customer and Contact information
- Follow the instructions here to ensure your new ConnectWise Manage Tenant is configured correctly: https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005922122-Connectwise-Manage-Integration-Setup-Guide
- Go to the Integrations Section
- Click the ConnectWise Manage Integration Box
- Click Disconnect ConnectWise API
- Configure the ConnectWise Manage Integration with the new API you created
- Once connected to the new ConnectWise Environment
- Match the Customers in Quickpass to the Companies in ConnectWise comparing the customer CSV file you downloaded in 1.1 above (The Automatch feature should save you a bunch of time here)
- For each Customer, go to the End User Accounts Screen,
- Use the Self Serve CSV file that you downloaded in 1.2 above to match up the End User accounts to the ConnectWise Contacts (The Automatch feature should save you a bunch of time)
- Manually match any End Users that don't match up automatically either because of missing email address or Display name differences.
