Description

This article acts as a reference catalogue to assist in confirming your environment(s) align with the expected behaviour following a successful Quickpass Agent installation.

Add or Remove Programs / Programs and Features

Two 'Quickpass Agent' programs should be visible.

• 'Quickpass Agent (64-bit)' is the Agent
• 'Quickpass Agent' is the portion that checks the .NET framework version running on the machine at time of installation.

This is expected behaviour.

Services

The Quickpass Server Agent service should be Running with Automatic (Delayed Start) Startup Type.

The Quickpass Validation Service should be Running with Automatic (Delayed Start) Startup Type for AD Workstations that have the Agent installed: (used for Cached Credential updates)

Processes

The QuickpassService.exe process should be running.

NOTE: If End User Elevation is enabled for the Quickpass Customer, the 'Quickpass.ElevateApp.exe' process will be visible.

File Explorer

Following a successful Quickpass Agent installation, the following file structure is expected to populate.
NOTE: If your Quickpass Agent installation was deployed with an RMM, the Agent Install executable may be located somewhere other than C:\QPInstall, depending on your deployment configuration.

The Agent Install executable can be found at C:\QPInstall\Quickpass-Agent-Setup.exe.

The remaining files can be found at C:\Program Files\Quickpass Software\Quickpass Server Agent

Registry Keys

1) Following a successful Quickpass Agent installation, the following registry keys are expected to populate.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quickpass Identifier\Quickpass Agent Id

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quickpass Software\Quickpass Server Agent

2) When the Passwordless Tile for Technician Login is Enabled for the Customer and System Type, the following registry keys are expected to populate.
