Prerequisites
- You have created customers in Quickpass either manually: https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035206574-How-to-Create-New-Customer or by importing the Customer via an integration.
- You have installed the Quickpass Active Directory or Member/Standalone agent. https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035206994-How-to-install-the-Server-Agent-Manual-and-Silent
- You have already imported End User Accounts into the Dashboard via either the Automatic Import or Manual Import Method
- You are now implementing Office 365 Integration after following the instructions here. https://support.getquickpass.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039678373-How-to-Connect-a-Azure-AD-Office-365-tenant-to-a-Quickpass-Customer
- You are NOT using AD Connect to Synchronize accounts in Active Directory with Office 365/Azure
- You have already created the Office 365/Azure Accounts in that Directory Source
NOTE: In order for the Password Sync from Quickpass to work with an Azure/O365 Account you must ensure that the Active Directory source Domain has a Group Policy setting that includes the minimum Azure/O365 Requirements.
AD Password Policy must match the Minimum requirements for Azure/O365.
Microsoft's Minimum Password requirements are
Minimum Password Length - 8 or more
Password Complexity - Enabled
Account Lockout Threshold - between 1 and 10
Process
- Click on the Customer you want to link the End User Accounts for with Office 365.
- You can enable the Password Synchronization for individual accounts, all accounts or multiple selections.
- For Individual Accounts simply click the check box on the left side for the account, and use the toolbar along the top to enable password sync
- For Multiple or All Accounts select the check boxes for the users you want or click the Select All Option
- Click the 3-dot icon and select Enable Password Sync
- Any accounts that have an automatic match will be shown to their corresponding O365 Account. This is done via a matching email or Display Name values.
- If the Automatically Matched accounts are correct click on Save.
- If any of the Automatically Matched accounts are incorrect, click the Pencil Icon to change the matched account to a different one. A list of O365 Accounts will be displayed and you can scroll/search for the proper account to match to.
- After placing the Radio Button in the proper account, click Select.
- After placing the Radio Button in the proper account, click Select.
- If the account that was imported from the Directory Source does NOT have a proper match to an account, or you do not wish to match it to an account in O365 click the Trash Can icon to remove it from the list of accounts that will be matched.
- Click on Save when completed.
- For Individual Accounts simply click the check box on the left side for the account, and use the toolbar along the top to enable password sync
Turning off the Synchronization
In the case where you no longer want to synchronize the Account(s) password to Office 365/Azure using the Quickpass Password Sync feature, you can turn off the Toggle Switch either individually or for all Accounts
- Click on the Customer you want to link the End User Accounts for with Office 365.
- Select the check boxes beside the desired account.
- Use the toolbar along the top to disable password sync
- For Multiple or All Accounts select the check boxes for the users you want or click the Select All Option
- Click the Disable Password Sync link at the top of the list of users
- A confirmation message that the disable Sync has been processed will be displayed at the top of the screen.
- Use the toolbar along the top to disable password sync
