Overview
The Qtech app now allows technicians to review and manage end-user elevation requests directly from their mobile devices. This feature enables MSP technicians to approve or deny privilege elevation requests on-the-go, ensuring quick response times while maintaining security protocols.
Accessing Elevation Requests
1. Open the QTech Mobile App
  Mobile App requires:
2. Navigate to the Requests tab at the bottom of the screen
3. The badge icon will display the number of pending requests
Viewing Elevation Requests
The Elevation Requests screen displays all requests with the following information:
- Organization/ Customer Account name (e.g., SupportQPMTesting)
- Requesting End User name and username
- Request timestamp
- Program name being requested
- Reason provided by the end user
- Request status (Pending, Active, Awaiting User Activation, Completed, Denied, Expired, Failed To Revoke)
Searching and Filtering Requests
Using Search
Tap the search bar at the top of the screen to search for specific accounts or customers by name.
Filtering by Status
- Tap the filter icon next to the "Pending (X)" header
- Select from the following status filters:
- Pending - Awaiting approval/denial
- Active - Currently elevated
- Awaiting User Activation - Approved but not yet activated by end user
- Completed - Elevation period ended normally
- Denied - Request was denied
- Expired - Request timed out before approval
- Failed To Revoke - System encountered an issue revoking privileges
- All - Show all requests regardless of status
Reviewing a Request
Tap on any request to view the detailed Request Overview, which includes:
Request Information
- Organization name
- Requesting user
- Request timestamp and program name
- User-provided reason
Application Details
- Status - Current request state
- Approval timestamps (Approved by, Approved at, Expires at, Expired at)
- Device - Endpoint name
- Publisher - Software vendor
- Program path - Full file path
- File name - Executable name
- File version - Version number
- VirusTotal - Link to check file reputation
Approving an Elevation Request
When approving a request, you'll configure the following settings:
Step 1: Set Elevation Type
Choose how the elevation will be granted:
Process Elevation
- Grants elevated privileges only to the specific application process
- More secure and granular control
- Recommended for most scenarios
- End user will have access to the requested application or program
User Elevation
- Grants the end user temporary administrator access
- Applies to the entire user session
- Use with caution and only when necessary

Step 2: Set Application Privilege Level (Process Elevation only)
User-scoped (Recommended)
- Grants admin rights within the user's context
- Safer option for most applications
- Limited to user-level system changes
System-scoped (Higher Privilege)
- Grants full system privileges
- Required for OS-level changes
- Use only when absolutely necessary
Step 3: Select Duration (User Elevation only)
- Choose how long the end user will have admin access:
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 45 minutes
- 90 minutes
Step 4: Approve or Deny
- Tap the green Approve button to grant the elevation
- Tap the red Deny button to reject the request

Troubleshooting
Request not appearing in the list?
- Pull down to refresh the Requests list
- Check your filter settings - you may be filtering out the request
- Verify you have the correct organization selected
Unable to approve a request?
- Ensure you have proper permissions in CyberQP
- Check if the request has already been handled by another technician
- Verify the Qtech app is connected to the internet
