Overview
The Local Account Import Policy in CyberQP allows IT admins to define how local accounts are imported from the endpoints. This policy is ideal for environments that are not managed by Active Directory or Microsoft 365 but still require centralized credential management.
Admins can choose to import accounts by matching specific usernames or by using local group membership. The policy can be applied to administrator accounts only and assigned to existing customers or set as default for all new customers added to CyberQP.
Prerequisites
You must have the Super, Primary, or Manager role in CyberQP
The CyberQP agent must be installed on supported endpoints (e.g., servers, workstations)
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Go to Global Settings > Automatic Imports
2. Click + New Import Policy, then select Local
3. Select Account Type
Only Administrator Accounts are supported for Local Import Policies
4. Enter Policy Name and Description
Provide a clear and descriptive name and add a short explanation of the policy’s purpose
5. Set as Default (Optional)
Enable this if you want all newly added customers to automatically use this policy
Note: Only one default policy is allowed per account type
6. Assign Existing Customers
Select which of your current customers should immediately begin using this policy
7. Choose Import Method
You can specify which agent roles to apply this logic to:
AD Member
AD Workstation
Workstation
Server
This gives you control over where to apply group membership logic—ensuring, for example, that only servers or standalone workstations are scanned for matching users.
Template Accounts based import (By Username)
Specify one or more exact usernames that should be imported into CyberQP as admin accounts.
Any local account found on connected endpoints with a matching username will be automatically imported.
This method is useful when you have standard admin accounts deployed across multiple devices (e.g., localadmin, support, techsvc).
Local Group Membership based import
Select one or more local security groups (e.g., Administrators, Power Users) to import accounts from.
Any local user who is a member of those groups will be brought into CyberQP as an administrator account.
