The Automatic Import Options Policy in CyberQP allows IT administrators to centrally configure what happens when end-user or administrator accounts are imported into the platform. This includes settings like whether passwords are saved, welcome emails are sent, or password rotation is enabled.
These policies ensure consistent behavior across customers and eliminate the need to configure import options for each customer manually. You can also set a default policy that automatically applies to newly added customers.
Prerequisites
You must have the Super, Primary, or Manager role in CyberQP
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Go to Global Settings > Automatic Imports
2. Click + New Import Policy, then select Automatic Import Options
3. Select Account Type
Choose whether you’re creating the policy for End-user Accounts or Administrator Accounts
Each policy is specific to one account type only
4. Enter Policy Name and Description
Give your policy a meaningful name and a short description for future reference
5. Set as Default (Optional)
Enable this option if you want all newly added customers to use this policy by default
Note: Only one default policy is allowed per account type
6. Assign Existing Customers
Select customers from the list who should immediately begin using this policy’s settings
7. Configure Import Options
For End-user Accounts
Match to IT Glue or Hudu
CyberQP will attempt to match the imported end-user account to an existing entry in IT Glue or Hudu.
If no match is found, a new password entry can be created automatically. You have the option to check the box if you want this to occur.
Future password updates done in CyberQP will be synced back to IT Glue or Hudu.
-
Match to PSA (ConnectWise PSA, Autotask, Halo)
CyberQP will link the end-user account to a matching Contact record in your PSA.If no match is found an new entry can be created in PSA. You have the option to check the box if you want this to occur.
This enables actions like resetting passwords directly via the PSA, and also allows CyberQP to retrieve email and phone number from the PSA for user verification.
NOTE: If multiple customers from the Dashboard are matched to the same PSA Customer, automatic creation of new Contacts will NOT be performed during the import process. This is because there is no way to determine which PSA Customer the contact should be created in.
Please review the KBs for manual creation for each PSA:
ConnectWise Manage
Autotask
Halo
Send Welcome Email
Sends an email to the imported end-user, notifying them of access and onboarding them to CyberQP services.Enable Self-Serve Password Reset
Allows end-users to reset their own passwords via the Quickpass mobile app, improving user experience and reducing support tickets.Sync AD or Local Password to Microsoft 365
Ensures that when an end-user password is changed in Active Directory or a local system, it will be synced to their Microsoft 365 account, keeping credentials aligned across systems.
For Administrator Accounts
Save Password in CyberQP Vault (if not using ITGlue or Hudu)
Stores imported administrator credentials securely in the CyberQP Vault, making them accessible to authorized technicians.Match or Create in IT Glue or Hudu
CyberQP will attempt to match the imported Administrator account to an existing entry in IT Glue or Hudu.
If no match is found, a new password entry can be created automatically. You have the option to check the box if you want this to occur.
Future password updates done in CyberQP will be synced back to IT Glue or Hudu..Enable Password Rotation
