Bug Fixes

We have resolved a bug affecting CyberQP customers. Previously, if the Active Directory (AD) password settings did not meet the minimum policy requirements for Azure and a password reset was attempted for a password sync-enabled end-user account via the reset link sent through SMS or email, the screen did not display the message "Password Reset Blocked." As a result, the password reset would succeed on AD but fail for Office 365.

Small Memory fix

After the cooldown timer expires and an AD or Local account is naturally unlocked, the dashboard will now accurately reflect its unlocked status. Previously, the dashboard continued to display these accounts as locked.

Product Update

Added code to prepare for the capability to assign a JIT account to multiple security groups as specified in the JIT policy. This improvement ensures that the agent can handle assigning accounts to various security groups more efficiently.

Please be advised this functionality will be made fully available to our "Bundle" and "QGuard" customers using Just-In-Time Accounts at a future time.

Implemented a local user-mode dump setup to generate dumps when the agent crashes
Improved the dashboard to accurately reflect the current status of accounts. If the account is unlocked via the Self Serve Password Reset Mobile App, or through Active Directory Console/PowerShell commands, the dashboard will also update to show the correct status. (Note: a natural unlock from AD caused by your password policy will not update CyberQP at this time. We have logged this issue internally for further investigation in the future)

Identified and resolved an issue causing disruptions in communications between the local agent and CyberQP.

Optimized the agent to reduce the number of notifications and the amount of data sent to CyberQP. (from the agent's local database to CyberQP)

Fixed an issue where the agent failed to send notifications for some shorter usernames when a property was changed in Active Directory.

Fixed an issue where the field value type in the agent's local database was erroneously changed.

Fixed an issue that prevented the agent from starting under certain conditions.

Resolved an issue that was causing the Agent updater to crash.

Bug Fixes

Fixed the issue where the "Technician Sign-In" screen was prematurely displayed.

We are pleased to announce that a fixed agent has been released.
No action is required for the agent to update. The agent checks for new updates every two hours. You may also force an agent update by navigating to your customer > Agents > Select the Checkbox for all Agents -> Select the "Force Agent Update" button.

  •  Easily pull local Administrator accounts through a unified interface using a new "Privileged Groups" option.
  • Viewing your settings selection after the "Save and Run" button for the "Privileged Groups" methods is used, ensuring transparency and easy reference.

Changed agent updater frequency from every 2 hours to now check for updates every 8 hours in the task scheduler.

Bug Fixes

Resolved the problem occurring during JIT account creation caused by the presence of an orphaned SID within the selected Security Group.
Resolved issue when an empty event was generated alongside the JIT Account disablement event during account expiration.

 


V3.6.2.0 - November 21st 2023 - UPDATE

Product Update

Agent install procedures have been updated with a diagnostic tool to check requirements. We will now include verifying user permissions, ensuring network availability, and confirming DNS resolutions to our API.

Modified agent's user scan query to find users that are part of a Security Group. The query will include the users that have set the Security Group inside their Primary Group attribute.

This Agent version has been recalled due to an update challenge.  A new agent is being released on December 4th 2023 to resolve the updater challenge.  Please see this KB: Agent 3.6.2.0 - Recall Notice - Resolution Steps


V3.6.1.0 - November 7th 2023

Product Update

For enhanced security measures, we have implemented a feature that ensures the deletion of user profiles from computers when a Just-in-Time (JIT) account is deleted by the super or primary user.

For local accounts, the user profile is now deleted from the local workstation, while for Active Directory (AD) accounts, the user profile is deleted from all domain controllers (AD Server agent role) where the user had previously logged in.

With the recent Agent update, we are pleased to announce the inclusion of a Microsoft-approved and signed DLL.

For customers utilizing LSA protection, the DLL file responsible for monitoring password changes within Active Directory has been refreshed and is now compatible with the operating system.
