Description of Issue

The server agent installation attempt throws an error - 'This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor.'

Cause

The server agent is only supported on machines with 64-bit OS architecture. 

Diagnose

Open an elevated Command Prompt and run the following command to check the OS architecture of the host machine:

wmic os get osarchitecture

If the result output shows the machine has a 32-bit OS architecture, the server agent is not supported on the machine. 

Resolution

Install the server agent on a different machine with a 64-bit OS architecture.
