Purpose

This article outlines a process in N-Able RMM that allows you to quietly monitor the Quickpass Server Agent service running on a host machine(s) so that you are alerted if the service stops running and is unable to restart.

Create Monitoring Template

1. Navigate to your N-Able RMM tenant

2. Navigate to N-Sight menu > Monitoring and Management > Settings > Monitoring Templates > Manage Templates

3. Click Add > Add Workstation Monitoring Template (select Server if desired)

4. Define template name

5. Under Check Frequency, set to Enabled and adjust frequency as desired

6. Under Checks and Tasks, click Add > Add 24x7 Check > Windows Service Check

7. In Service, select Quickpass Server Agent

8. Under Restart Service, select the checkbox to restart the service if it is found to be Stopped

9. Adjust Alert Thresholds as desired

10. Select OK

Assign Monitoring Template to Client

1. In left column, right-click desired client > Apply Monitoring Template

2. Select the template in Available Templates > click the '>' arrow to move it to Selected Templates

3.  You are required to enter your admin account password to complete the monitoring template application

4. Select a machine and click the Checks menu to confirm the monitoring template has been added

5. Repeat steps under subheading Assign Monitoring Template to Client for remaining clients, as desired
