Purpose

This article outlines a process in Datto RMM that allows you to quietly monitor the Quickpass Server Agent service running on a host machine(s) so that you are alerted if the service stops running and is unable to restart.

Note: This Datto RMM monitor runs in the background automatically and you are only alerted when there is an issue with a host machine's Quickpass Server Agent service.

Setup

1. Navigate to Datto RMM

2. Using the right panel, navigate to Sites > Policies > Create Policy

3. Assign a policy name and description as desired

4. Assign the Scope of impact by declaring a specific Site, or Global

5. Set Type as Monitoring

6. Click Add Monitor

7. Click Select to create a Monitor

8. Choose Service type

9. Configure Monitor settings as shown:

10. If email alerting is desired, toggle Send an email and define the desired recipients:

11. Click Add Monitor

12. Back on the policy screen, click Add Target to define which devices to target with the policy inside the selected Scope (To target all machines inside the selected Scope, choose All Devices)

13. Click Save and deploy now or Save and deploy later

14. Confirm that the Policy is running on the Policies screen

Alerts

If the alerting parameters are met by a machine that is targeted by the policy, the alert will show at the Site level and the Device level. Once the alerting parameters are no longer true, the alert will be removed.
