Overview
Follow this process when switching a tenant's password storage from ITGlue or Hudu to Quickpass Tech Vault.
This article covers the steps to migrate Password Rotations and End User Password storage to Quickpass Tech Vault.
Prerequisites
- Primary or Super Login role
- Admin access to the existing ITGlue or Hudu environment
Steps
-
Navigate to the Reports screen in the QP Dashboard and export the Customer, Password Rotations (Administrator and Service Accounts), and Self-Serve (End User Accounts) CSV files.

- Customer CSV — Note customer names to identify which are linked to your current password storage solution.
-
Password Rotations CSV — Review the following columns:
- Column J (Auto Rotate) — needed when re-enabling rotations after the switch
- Column G (QP Status) — indicates whether a password is matched to a Password entry; use this to decide which rotations to resume
- Columns D, L, M, N — current rotation schedule values; these will need to be reconfigured after the switch
- Self-Serve CSV — Review Column F (Password Sync). Entries set to "ON" are end user accounts currently tracked for password storage.
- Disconnect the existing integration.
-
Click Integrations.
- Click the 3-dot menu for the currently configured integration.
-
Select Disconnect.
-
- Contact Quickpass support at support@getquickpass.com or via the Customer Support link on the dashboard. Confirm that all preparation steps are complete and you are ready to switch to Quickpass Tech Vault.
- Log your entire team out of the QP Dashboard and advise them not to log back in until the switch is confirmed.
- Once Quickpass support confirms the switch is complete (typically within 15 minutes), log back in with a Super or Primary account.
- Re-enable Rotation Schedules for each customer.
- Click Rotate Settings - Administrator, set the values from the Password Rotations CSV (or new values if preferred), and click Save.
- Click Rotate Settings - Service, set the values from the Password Rotations CSV (or new values if preferred), and click Save.
- Enable the password rotation toggle for each account. Use the per-account toggle on the right, or select in bulk using checkboxes and choose Enable Password Rotation from the header bar.
-
Accounts with defined rotation schedules will resume rotation automatically.
Note: Password entries in Quickpass Tech Vault will not display values until the password has been rotated. To show the current password immediately, use the value stored in ITGlue or Hudu and select Reset to record it in the Tech Vault.
- Enable the Store Password toggle for any end user accounts that had password storage configured with the previous integration. Reference the Self-Serve CSV from step 1.
-
Enable per account using the toggle on the End User Accounts screen.
- Enable in bulk by selecting accounts with checkboxes and choosing Store Password from the header bar.
-
To stop storing an account's password, click Disable Store Password.
