Product Updates

• As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our services, we are excited to announce the wide release of our new ConnectWise POD experience. This update is aimed at providing a more intuitive and efficient way to manage your End-User Accounts from within ConnectWise. We've also enhanced the way you can do identity verification with all your Connectwise PSA contacts and CyberQP End-User Accounts.

• Key Enhancements Include:

  • Global Search Capability: Easily search for any end-user accounts across the platform.

  • Combined Information Display: View aggregated information for multiple phone numbers and email addresses from PSA and CyberQP for seamless identity verification.

  • M365 Authenticator App Push Verification: Initiate push verifications directly from inside the CW ticket, enhancing security and user verification processes.

  • Introduction of webhooks: We will now take new email and phone number updates from Connectwise and use those values to update the CyberQP Email and Phone fields on an ongoing basis.

  • Improved Interface Design: Enjoy a more responsive and intuitive interface with an increased pod height of approximately 660px.

  • Clear Text Labels: All fields now have easy-to-understand text labels, making navigation and operations more straightforward.

  • Enhanced Ticket Notes: More detailed information will be added to internal ticket notes after every identity verification or directory account action. Please note, this may affect any automations running against our existing CyberQP ticket notes.
    

• For new tenants, simply adding the Connectwise integration using our KB article will give you the new experience. For existing partners, we have programmatically migrated your POD experience. If your not seeing the new POD experience in your browser-based version of Connectwise, please reach out to us at support@cyberqp.com.

• Added support for Custom Security groups for Active Directory just-in-time accounts. You can now update or create an AD JIT policy with custom groups, these groups will be automatically assigned to JIT account at time of activation and remove on JIT expiration. Please follow the instructions in this article on how to set this up.
• JIT account username copy now includes necessary prefixes and domain specifications.
• Password Rotations report now shows information for rotation policy, if account is getting rotation settings from a policy

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where accounts imported under Administrator Accounts were able to submit elevation request. This is fixed and only end-user will be able to submit elevation requests.

• We've released SSO Exemptions! We've refined our SSO implementation for greater flexibility, allowing individual technicians to be explicitly marked as "SSO Exempt/Enforced".

• We’ve improved event logging for the “Quickpass Self-Serve” mobile app. Previously, no MSP-facing dashboard event was generated when an end-user logged in. With this enhancement, we now generate an event log entry for successful mobile app sign-ins.

• Resolved an issue where deleted M365 JIT accounts were incorrectly available for importing into the dashboard. The fix ensures that deleted JIT accounts are no longer accessible for import.
• We’ve resolved an issue where password expiry notifications weren’t sent to end users imported from Azure environments. Users now receive timely notifications when their account password is set to expire within 10 days.
• We’ve resolved an issue where attempting to disable an account from the AutoTask Insight resulted in an error.

Improved system monitoring by adding more internal logging for better performance tracking and visibility.

We’ve enhanced our password rotation system to ensure better security and reliability. Now, if a workstation (AD Workstation or Workstation Agent Role) misses a scheduled password rotation, it will automatically retry the rotation when the system agent comes online. This ensures all passwords are updated, maintaining your customer’s security.

Fixed issue where password reset emails were not sent if the email address was typed with different cases. Emails are now case-insensitive.

When matching with local system accounts, we will now take into consideration the local account "Computer name" while scanning the IT Glue password records name. This is in addition to making sure the usernames line up between CyberQP and IT Glue, and that that password record in IT Glue is of type "LOCAL".
We've implemented some new internal staff-facing controls, providing greater flexibility in tuning the number of requests made per second when communicating with IT Glue's API.

You can now export and download passwords for a specific customer (You may now choose a single customer vs the previous all customers logic). This feature can be used during a customer offboarding or when you're gathering information as part of a backup strategy. Please note your CyberQP tenant must have the Technician Vault to use this feature. For more information please see our KB article.

We've introduced a new feature that allows freshly created AD JIT accounts to replicate across all domain controllers connected to CyberQP. This ensures that all agented DCs quickly "learn" about the newly created JIT account, enabling faster logins to your AD-joined machines compared to your natural DC-to-DC replication times.

Resolved Account matching issue for Connectwise Manage tenants by accurately matching based on a Manage Contacts First Name and Last Name and a Directory Sources Account First Name and Last Name.

Restored the functionality for the “failed” entry on the “QP Status” filter for Administrator Accounts.

Password updates via the CyberQP dashboard now set the password at the Source Directory, even when the new password value matches the existing one or was recently reset via the Dashboard.

For IT Glue and Hudu tenants, we fixed a sorting issue. Documentation tool password entries are now displayed alphabetically on our matching screens.

Resolved the problem where some end users were encountering a blank white page after entering their phone number for registration via the Welcome email.

Fixed auto-matching problem in Connectwise where the wrong contact was selected when email addresses matched. Now, when multiple contacts share the same email address but only one has the same first and last name, the correct contact is selected during auto-matching, ensuring accuracy.
