Concept

If a Tenant is switching from ITGlue or Hudu to Quickpass Password Manger, there is a specific process that should be followed.  This article will detail the process to switch the Password Rotations and End User Password storage (if enabled).

Prerequisites

• Primary or Super Login Role
• Admin Access to the Existing ITG/Hudu Environment
• If additional 3rd Party passwords (Documentation Style passwords) are desired to be transferred from ITGlue or Hudu to Quickpass Password Manager please familiarize yourself with this KB:

Process

Preparation

1. Please go to the reports screen of the QP Dashboard and export the CUSTOMER, PASSWORD ROTATIONS (Administrator and Service Accounts) and SELF-SERVE (End User Accounts) CSV files.
   
   1. In the Customer CSV file export, you would want to take note of the Customers names.  You can use these to ensure you know which ones you have linked to the existing Password Storage solution.
   2. In the Password Rotations (Administrator & Service Accounts) CSV file export, you would want to pay attention to
      1. Column J (Auto Rotate) as this will also be important when re-enabling the Password rotations for the administrator and service accounts once integrated with ITGlue.
      2. Column G (QP Status).  This lists if the password is currently matched to a Password entry.  This will be used to determine IF you want to continue rotating the passwords.
      3. Column D, L, M, N.  These are the currently defined rotation schedule values.  You will need to reset these once you have switched to QPM.  You can keep the new rotation schedules the same or change them to different values if you wish.
   3. In the Self Serve (End User Accounts) CSV file exported, you would want to pay attention to Column F (Password Sync) as this will be important when enabling the password Matching if you do this for your Customer(s)' End Users.  Those passwords that are currently tracked for End Users would be set to "ON".
      
      
2. Once you have ensured that all of your Integration information is backed up:
   1. Click on the Integrations screen
   2. Click on the 3 Dot Menu for the Integration currently configured.
   3. Select Disconnect
      
3. Advise Quickpass support (support@getquickpass.com) or click the Customer Support link on the dashboard and fill in the form.  
   1. Explain that you have done all of the preparation work required to move from another Password Storage Utility to Quickpass Password Manager.
      
      
4. Log ALL of your team out of the Quickpass Dashboard and advise them to not log back in until advised that we have completed the switch.
5. When we advise the switch has been made on our end (usually takes about 15 minutes to complete) Log back in with a Super or Primary account.
   
   
6. Enable the Rotation Schedules FOR EACH CUSTOMER
   1. Click the Rotate Settings - Administrator Link and set the values you saw on the Password Rotations CSV (or new values if you want to change) and click Save.
   2. Click the Rotate Settings - Service Link and set the values you saw on the Password Rotation CSV (or new values if you want to change) and click Save.
   3. Enable the Password rotation toggle switch for any accounts you wish to resume rotation.  You can do this per account using the Toggle on the right side of the account OR select in bulk using the checkboxes and then selecting Enable Password Rotation from the Header Bar.
7. Any existing Accounts that were scheduled to resume rotation will do so on the schedule you have defined. 
   NOTE: The Password entries within Quickpass Password Manager will not show any values until the password has been changed.  If you want the current password for the account to be displayed, you could use the previously stored information from ITGlue or Hudu and "Reset" the password to the current value so that it is recorded on the Quickpass Vault.
8. Enable the Remember Password Toggle for any End User Accounts that you had configured with the Previous Integration.  (See the Self-Serve CSV file you exported prior to the switch)
   1. You can do this from the Toggle Switch on the End User Accounts screen under this heading
      
      
   2. Alternatively you can do this in bulk by selecting the checkboxes for multiple End Users and then selecting the Enable Remember Password from the Header Bar.
